Marsh Tower Physics

On Friday, the Physics class took a field trip to the Sheboygan Marsh to take measurements of objects dropped from the top of the Marsh Tower.  It was chilly and windy, but well worth the temporary numbness.

Beginning tomorrow, there will be scheduled weekly study sessions for physics and chemistry students who want some extra help.  The schedule is as follows:

Friday Morning Physics
Every Friday before school from 6:45am - 7:45am (coffee and doughnuts are not frowned upon). The focus will be physics, but if time permits other students can get help as well.

Chemistry Wednesday
Every Wednesday after school from 3:00pm - 4:00pm.  The focus will be chemistry, but other students are certainly welcome after chemistry concerns are met.

Trees For Tomorrow

Attention Biology Students:
Once again the Sheboygan County Conservation Association is sponsoring three tenth graders to go to Trees for Tomorrow Camp from November 7th - 10th.  This is a GREAT opportunity to learn about natural resources and get hands-on experience in the beautiful setting of Eagle River, WI.  Activities include: tree ID, GPS, hike in the porcupine mountains, survival skills, and much more.  If interested see Mr. Moore ASAP.  For more information check out their website at: http://www.treesfortomorrow.com/index.htm

Deer Hearts

I am collecting deer hearts for dissection by my biology classes.  If you shoot a deer and are not going to eat the heart, please consider bringing it in.  I will freeze them until spring when we study human anatomy.  Please wrap the heart in a plastic bag and drop it off in my room.  Thank you.

Charged Up About Electricity

On Friday Miss Zuelke's 4th grade class came up to the high school to learn about electricity from my Physics students.  Here my students are teaching some 4th graders how to use an electroscope to detect a static charge.
